The Chadian Groupe Almanna, which has a strong presence in the construction industry, the distribution of hydrocarbons, transport and distribution, wants to diversify further by allying itself with foreign groups, including the French Duval.
It is the highest tower in N’Djamena, the Chadian capital. With its 70 meters and eleven floors, the headquarters of the Chadian Public Broadcasting Corporation dominates everything, especially the building of the National Social Security Fund (CNPS) and its seven levels that it has just dethroned. Its final delivery, at a total cost of 31 billion CFA francs (47.3 million euros), is expected for May-June 2018.
The ultramodern radio and television tower will have 300 offices and a NTIC (New Information and Communication Technologies) department. For television alone, there are nine studios for debates and four for news. For its equipment, Groupe Almanna signed a contract in 2017 in Paris with the European leader Videlio. The equipment (in particular a modern mobile reporting unit, transmission antennas capable of transmitting within a radius of several hundred kilometers) have been sent to N’Djaména, their current installation should be finished this summer.
« With this new equipment and a new headquarters, Chadian television will certainly project a more modern image of Chad. », Rejoices Abakar Tahir Moussa, CEO of the Chadian group. In N’Djaména, this Arabic-speaking graduate in Communication and Islamic Law from the University of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) is better known by the very name of Almanna. To build its notoriety and its seriousness, the company has surrounded itself with the best French, Indian, Lebanese, Turkish, Filipino, Italian and Tunisian specialists. It was also with Italian and Tunisian architects that he completed the headquarters of the Chadian Radio-Television. Elsewhere, Almanna is building new offices for the General Payroll Treasury; it is a nine-story building opposite the Pink Palace, the seat of the Presidency of the Republic.
If Groupe Almanna shines with these two architectural gems, its history began in 1994 with the distribution of petroleum products. Three years after the start of production of the Chad Refining Company, the company is organizing distribution logistics for the refinery’s main products. Seriousness and professionalism make him one of the main suppliers retained by the Chadian National Hydrocarbons Company. Over the years, it will expand its distribution network, particularly in Cameroon and the Central African Republic.
