The Turkish cooperation agency “TIKA” has started the construction of the Chad-Turkish Friendship complex which will house an agricultural school. The laying of the first stone took place this Monday 04 May, at the old N’Djaména racecourse.
Since 2013, TIKA has carried out more than 80 projects in Chad. The projects are carried out in sectors such as agriculture, health, education, in several provinces of the country. All these achievements strengthen the relations between Chad and Turkey. “TIKA brings its support in the development of Chad”, declares the coordinator of Tika in N’Djamena Melih Mucahid ATES.
The project to build the Chadian-Turkish friendship complex where the agricultural school is located is the largest of the Turkish development agency’s projects in Africa.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Chad, Kamal Kay, announces that Tika’s investments in Chad are estimated at more than 4 million dollars. “We know that agriculture is the most important area in Chad” underlines the ambassador.
